In Azure we have a new kind of VM machines Intel-based DCsv3 confidential VMs and AMD-based DCasv5/ECasv5 confidential VMs both types of machines contains hardware protected application enclaves. This moves as to concept like confidetial-computing where our data is fully protected by hardware. To go even further does types of machnies can be utilized as worker nodes in AKS.
